Sparkly new website

After weeks of work, the new website is complete:  http://www.dreamkeeperscomic.com/

Just in time for the flood of new traffic!

This has been sorely needed- for years the archives were out of date on the old site, and the format just didn't give us the room to showcase all that Dreamkeepers had to offer.

In addition to working archives and better comic page navigation (with arrow keys!) there's new stuff in the online store, a news page that actually updates, a spot for game content, revamped lore and articles and more!

It's by no means perfect- I mean, I coded it, so you can only expect so much.  Built for full-size computer screens, I'd advise using the reading app for mobile devices.  E-mail me any goofs and glitches, I might be able to fix 'em at some point.  But for now, it'll do- with a snazzier look and more to explore than the old one.   Hop on in and enjoy!

Next up:  Time to prep the Patreon monthly sketch and get Prelude back on track, with a new update this Thursday.

Then it's time to get Volume 5 rolling, alongside work on the video game assets- and coming soon, we'll launch the Whip Plush Kickstarter.    And in the mid-term, it's time to start pestering distributors to see if we can get Volume 1 in any retail outlets.

Stay tuned for more news!

WHEN CANDIDATES ATTACK

In her nationally televised speech yesterday, Hillary Clinton named and dourly condemned provocative articles written by Milo Yiannopoulos-  who just so happens, at this time, to be promoting Dreamkeepers on his weekly podcast.

Having our top spokesperson humorlessly attacked by a Clinton is an astonishing cultural achievement!  I can't seem to stop laughing.

In the wake of this brush with presidential politics, a few readers have asked whether our series is becoming too political- so I'd like to clarify a couple things.

One:  I have absolutely zero interest in telling you how, or whether, to vote.  If you needed my input on this decision, well, it's time to panic.  You're on your own!

Two:  Everybody's welcome!  We don't discriminate by politics, we're happy to entertain everybody, regardless of affiliation.

Three:  Our main focus remains on crafting and sharing the best work of fantasy our abilities will allow.

That said, I'm utterly thrilled to have such a culturally-relevant high-profile spokesperson for Dreamkeepers!  Talk about fireworks.  Someone so distinctive and polarizing clearly needs a compelling fursona to match...

With our website (nearly) done, Prelude updates will resume next week- we hope you enjoy the show- both our work, and the marketing sparks that surround it!

Just remember- irreverent memes are off limits.  We're in serious times, and the last thing the internet needs are insane Milo / Trump / Hillary Dreamkeepers memes.

Have some decency.

MOICHENDIZING

Hey everyone!    Still chugging away on the website revamp.
New in the last couple days- the Game and Store page:

http://www.dreamkeeperscomic.com/Store.htmlhttp://www.dreamkeeperscomic.com/Store.html

Shirts have been gone for years, since Printfection went out of business- we FINALLY have them available again, through TeePublic.  They also offer their designs on mugs and various items.

Now I only need to revamp the 'Explore' page, polish the Vivid site a bit, and the site revamp will be complete!   It's been on my to-do list for over a year, so it's exciting being close to knocking it out.

#FreeMilo

I'm thrilled (and slightly terrified) to announce that Dreamkeepers has just been promoted by none other than the infamous Milo Yiannopoulos!

Our ad slot airs just before the 12 minute mark in his latest podcast:  http://www.podcastone.com/the-milo-yiannopoulos-show

For the few who don't know, Milo is a flamboyant bleached-blonde flashpoint in the culture wars, whose presence alone causes eruptions of chaos on college campuses.  Reviled and loved, the gay-rights championing free-speech advocate is the most controversial journalist ever to be banned from twitter.

So what effect will this endorsement have?

Well, for one, Milo has hinted that he may reveal his fursona at long last.

And for the rest- I guess we're about to find out!

Batten the Hatches

Hang on to your hats- we're in for some controversial fun.  (Isn't that the best kind?)  But first, the Case of the Missing Comic:

I didn't mean to leave things on a cliffhanger, but we're going to be skipping Prelude updates for a week or two.  (May post a video to make up for it this week.)  Fear not- Prelude will be back!  I just need to finish the website revamp first.

I've got to focus and power through my coding incompetence, in order to get something ready and hosted by this Friday.

What happens this Friday, you ask?

Veterans of the weekly DK chat know something is up.  I've been hinting that a highly controversial, polarizing, fabulous and slightly wicked public figure will be endorsing Dreamkeepers soon.

And by soon, I mean FRIDAY.

If you want the early scoop on the who and the what, come in to the Dreamkeepers chat this Thursday at 9:00, where a high-stakes game of '20 questions' will ensue.   (I'll tweet the link at 9:00pm)

What will be the aftermath of this volatile marketing gamble?  I haven't the foggiest, but I'm having a great time!  No guts, no glory.

Prepare your memes...

This ought to be interesting.

SURVEY: Card Game VILLAINS

I can neither confirm nor deny that a licensed Dreamkeepers card game is in development.   I could not verify whether an entirely new combat system is currently in the midst of rigorous play-testing by veteran gamers.  Who's to say if it would be a character-based battle game?

But you CAN have a say in which characters are selected for battle decks!  Light up our survey, and let us know which villains this theoretical game simply can't do without.
